“This is a move to scare away the crowds that have been swelling in numbers at
meeting held by the SF camp. There is no truth whatsoever in the stories”, a
spokesperson for the Janatha Vimukthi Perumana (JVP) said.
He was backed by Rohana Hettiarachchi of the People’s Action For Free and Fair
Elections (PAFFREL) who added these rumors should not be taken seriously adding
that some mischief makers were behind the issue.
