The troops informed that during their search operations, the police too would be
with them, but according to sources the police presence was not observable.
Meanwhile according to the Jaffna information, the armed groups and the
intelligence division from the troops who had obtained the blessings from the
forces are involved in demands of ransom including many crimes.
