Government Agent orders the Muslim community to leave Mullaitheevu
An allegation was made against Mullaitheevu District Government Agent that she had ordered to depart the Muslims who had resettled and for business motive in some areas in Mullaitheevu. The allegation was made by United Front Vanni District Parliament Member Hunaiz Farook.
Reports states some Muslim people had gone to Mullaitheevu two days before for resettlement and in the motive of business. In this situation the Government Agent Imelda Sukumar had ordered these people to leave the district before 4.00 p.m, was the complaint made by the people to him was mentioned by the Parliament Member. While he contacted the Government Agent, she did not treat him like a parliament member was further alleged by him. Parliament member further said, in this regard a complaint was made to Northern Governor Major Chandrasiri. Hunaiz had informed that Governor had informed that he will take action on the forthcoming Wednesday in regard to this issue.
