JVP wants reforms revealed

The JVP today urged the government to reveal the proposed constitutionals reforms to the country immediately instead of resorting to undemocratic practices in this regard.

JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva told reporters that there is much talk in the air that the government is going to introduce constitutional amendments very soon.

“It is also speculated that President Mahinda Rajapaksa is going to discuss these matters with Indian leaders during his visit to that country. However, the country should know about it before anyone else,” Mr. Silva said.
