Only three people turn up out of the 89 invited for Sajith’s dinner

UNP parliamentarian Sajith Premadasa had on Friday (18) organized a dinner at his private residence at Royal Park for UNP provincial council members in a bid to promote his image.

However, of the 89 persons invited for the event, only three had turned up.

Interestingly, the Opposition leaders of Provincial Councils, who are loyal to UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe, were not invited for the event.

A senior UNP parliamentarian said that many provincial councilors had informed the party leader that although they initially intended to attend the dinner organized by Sajith, they had decided to boycott it as a mark of protest against Sajith’s decision to attend the Victory Day celebrations in contravention to the party’s official stance.
