Northern lawyers’ work stoppage continues.

Reports states the work stoppage which is adopted in Vavuniya, Mannar and Kilinochchi courts by the Attorneys is processing for the second successive week. The work stoppage was advanced insisting to arrest the person who had given death threats to the Chavakachcheri Magistrate K. Pribakaran.

On this basis the suspected person Regan, the Jaffna Urban Council Deputy Mayor and member of EPDP party was arrested. But the attorneys have demanded that the Inspector General of police should affirm their safety, and their protest is continuing is according to Jaffna lawyers. 

eanwhile the court information states, the work stoppage should come to an end and they should attend to the court activities.
